Apex...and aggravation

Not sure if I'm the only one that experiences these issues with their apex system, every time the power goes out I spend days of aggravation to restore the system. I had shut the breaker off to replace a few receptacles and after turning them back on now my screen is illuminated blue with no text and won't connect to my iPad. I've had the system for about a year and just had the base unit and controller replaced new from apex last month due to other issues. All I could find online someone said disconnect overnight and try again tomorrow..... Bueller.....Bueller...anyone

The newer versions of software have been terrible from these guys. I regret upgrading to the last version, was working very well prior to that and now its unstable, not as bad as you are having, but much worse than before the upgrade.

Sorry to hear of the trouble, sounds hardware related. I haven't had issues, I just flashed to the latest firmware so my fingers are crossed.

I had a problem where the outlets were re-arranged when the power went out. Tech support was able to fix it remotely and I never had a problem since. As others had suggested, contact Apex tech support. Good luck.

Fix one problem and now another. Screen is displaying what's going on , now all the outlets are stuck on auto and will not let me adjust. I foresee a sales forum starting soon for this headache

Headache about to happen

Not sure if I'm the only one that experiences these issues with their apex system, every time the power goes out I spend days of aggravation to restore the system. I had a similar issue happen my screen froZe fromday go the next, kept losi g connection with my wireless adapter, my apex jr qnd power bar 4 powered on. I se t it i. For dianostics and they say its water damage and want to charge me $135 for the repair when the whole unit i think i paid $220, so dont be surprised if after trying to remote in they have you send it in and relay that answer to you.

I just finished setting up my Apex full unit that replaced my Apex Lite on my display. Going to program the Apex Lite after dinner.

Anyway what I did was full reset of all the modules/outlets, updated the firmware to latest, reset the modules again and then programmed it fresh. Everything is working flawlessly now.

To Factory Reset Go:
Using the display menus...
System->Init memory->All

Also after you factory reset and it finishes I'd recommend unplugging everything for a few minutes.

Hope this help!

An hour on the phone with tech support to resolve the problem finally , they said for some reason the IP address changed on the monitor and don't know why.

I did do that and nothing worked that's when I sent it in. Seems this has happened to multiple people and "Neptune" claims its water damage in order to extort some money from you for an item that is poorly mad for the job it is intended. im actually in a back and forth battle with these people trying to get my device returned. After threatening to use social media and contact consumer affairs about the issue they magically lowered the repair cost. I refuse to pay for repair for something that is under warranty, especially when the item is made to fail for the exact purpose wich it is constructed

Keep in mind these are electronic devices not sealed boxes. They are not meant to get wet. Not sure if reef keeper is water proof, but my research said it wasn't. If it was somehow wet then it isn't fair to say that its Neptune's fault. Have I had major issues with Fusion, yes, so I stopped using it. For the better part of 3 years my Apex has been flawless. I think the biggest complain i have seen about stability has been with second hand units and whether or not they were damaged, or didn't have their configuration cleared prior to sale.

I'm not going to lie I had some issues with apex at first but they did well by me after I constantly reminded them of the 2k I dropped on the system. Sent my base unit and display in as I didn't know where the problem was and they only mailed back the base unit. When I called they said they never received it bullll pile they were packed together...after some aggravation they sent a new unit which was the least they could do.
