Apex Jr help.

So I've been at this for about 2 hrs and I finally called it quits. This is how far I got.
1) took it out of the box
2) tried to connect to Internet to setup
3)

That's right, I've wasted 2 hrs of my life and I can't even connect the thing to the computer. I was literally doing the same thing over and over at one point actually expect a different result.

I've pretty much put off getting a controller because I'm pretty clueless when it comes to this stuff. I like simple and straight forward. So anyway, I only bought the Jr. Because all I want to control is a pair of BRS dosers and a heater/temp. That's it for now. Can anyone walk me through this. I plan on giving it another try tomorrow. Better yet, frags to anyone that would be willing to come by and do it for me.

It is a hard setup. Have you downloaded the unofficial guide? I don't think I could do it again, when my router died and I had to redo everything I almost lost it.

Yeah I was looking at that too. It's on the apex site now. I read through it a few weeks ago dreading what was to come. I looked at it again today for answers, didn't find any. For the life of me I can't understand how these controllers are not easier to work. I heard the apex was the easier ones to program too. I can't even figure out how to link it to the computer much less program it.

We for starters I can't even access it with the computer. I hooked it up to the router and it said wait for a connection before you plug it in to the wall. I'm still at that point. I literally have no idea how to find things on the computer.

Well I got it connected to the computer I think. Well I did. I was able to pull up all the functions and programs. If I wasn't confused before I am now. I tried and failed to configure my email, but it really doesn't matter right now as once I setup the outlets it's gonna be unplugged from the network until I can get my computer moved closer. So I have four outlets to setup.

get a cheap router and use it as a WiFi bridge so you don't have to move your computer! and your WiFi range will increase throughout the house because of it!

Thanks Ryan. Make me feel even more the idiot.

The router I use is wifi. So all I would need is a bridge right. One of those gaming adapters should work, correct?

I'm moving the computer to that room anyway as its becoming a home office of sorts.

I'm gonna mess around with it again later.
Edward I'll check out that support. Thanks

Yes, one of those would work but why pay double? but if you're moving your computer anyway, a nice long Ethernet cable works pefectly! haha
