I like peppermint shrimp- have a couple for over a year- and they might have taken care of any aptasia in that tank- and mine are not nocturnal- all over the tank at feeding time- I just prefer to have different things in all my tanks- one reason why I have 4 instead of one big one
Why not just transfer them into the tank with the aptasia, see if they do their thing then move them back.

Easier said than done- fast buggers. I took the coral out of the tank dosed it with lemon juice, brushed, rinsed and put it the tank with the shrimp- hope there isn't more aptasia in the original tank

Ah, makes sense. My cleaners would be an easy catch. Both swim to and sit in my hand when I feed. At this point they’ll run to my hand just about anytime it’s in the tank. They’re like dogs.
