aquarium water testing .com results.

I talked to the sales manager and she mentioned that club representative could get in touch her if we would do a group buy in and she would offer a discount.

We will look into this but just a reminder its very important that people don't use the clubs name when speaking to vendors.

Conversation:

Rafal: Do you offer any discount to your pricing schedule?

Answer: We offer discounts to clubs, please ask your club representative to get in touch with us for the discount.

Rafal: Thank you.

End of the conversation.

Since I cant do anything for 90 days, I left it as is.

Has anyone used Lab Aquatics?

http://www.labaquatics.com/

Yes, I have and that is the place to go not AWT. This lab uses real advanced methods like ICP, ie. and not Mickey Mouse methods AWT uses. Many of us that have looked at AWT results and procedures are not happy at all. I would not allow AWT to test my tap water let alone reef tank water. They seem to be lost when it comes to testing Silica, Phosphates, Molybdenum and Calcium. If one real wants to go to the only "real place", a certified testing lab for seawater, then ONLY....ENC labs. This is where I sent Charles Delbeek to, for testing the water of the new CAS Steinhart Aquarium, which just opened last Sept.

Thanks Boomer!

Glad to have you back on NJRC.

The timing of this post was perfect as I was considering having some testing done by AWT.

I'll have to give them a try... I question AWT results, although mine were not too bad. My tank never looked so good, when I did what they suggested. it looked worse. I went back to my old routine and it looks better now. I hate testing water, If my tank looks good and happy, I now leave it alone. ;D

Well Dave, you will pay through the noise for tests done at a certified seawater testing lab ;D If I told you how much a liter of certified NSW was you would go into convulsions and may die, so I won't post it ;)

Hey Boomer, how are you? Fancy meeting you here. I just got here yesterday.
I saw this thread and since I had my water recently tested by a commecial lab I figured I would post it here. As you know my tank is 39 years old and some of that original water is still inthere so a lab tested it for free as a favor. They were interested in what water this old looked like. It doesen't seem too bad being I don't change much and I have some of that NYC water in there.
What do you think?

Posted here to have a log and to compare. Only change was skimmer. Very rarely dosing anything. Turbo-calc once in a while and Kalkwasser 2.5 gals either every or every other night. Not sure where the boron came in

What I guess I am finding so interesting, is the Salt comparisons. Tropic Marin Pro Reef is so commonly referred to as the best, but if you look at the figures in the comparison it does not appear to be accurate.

I guess I am not sure what to think. ???
