I would say it is a paly, however they can be even more invasive and nasty then aipstia. If they are starting to invade your acans you might have a problem.

I agree with mnat, they look like a paly. The same as the ones I have that grow rapidly and are not bothered by much. I'd try to pull the rock and scrape it off, so it doesn't take over the acans. Just be careful not to get the juices in your eyes or mouth, they squirt when cut.

If they're scattered and not bothering anything, they should be fine. My hammers, torches, frogspawns, etc. keep them at bay.

you have a couple options to rid your acans of these.
if you have enough space etween the paly and acan polyp you can cover it with reef epoxy,if its a rock you can pull out cover it with super glue gel.
I have also injected palys with super glue gel and that also worked.

Kalk paste will also kill them.

I tried kalk paste on mine and they only closed for a few days then opened again. I didn't have a needle to adjust, so I had just used a Salifert needle and shot them in the mouth. I didn't realize an actual needle was really hard to get in NJ. I used scissors and cut the heads off the invassive ones, but they do grow back.

Yeah you have to get in their mouth or it won't kill them. Sometimes it's harder than bulls eyeing womp rats in a T-16 back home.

Sounds like I will have a battle on my hands. I'll try to remove the invasive ones first and see how it goes.

Be careful with them, use gloves if you are using your hands. If you can find one of the aipstaia "zappers" to borrow from someone on here, they do a great job on them. I know Ed and curt have them.
