Are these pods safe for my tank

Just went to beach amd walked on the jetty where I ripped off handfuls of mussels sea lettuce and literally thousands of pods. Are they safe for my tank? Second picture is just a very small portion of them

I wonder how any of this stuff would do at our tank temps. Jersey ocean water is never 80*. I'd love a big load of free pods.

Well o just offloaded thousands into both tanks amd my Refugium. I put a cardboard cup holder in bucket and they swarmed on to it. Here’s a few I scooped out

I have put amphipods, copepods, clams in tank caught off the jersey shore...right now I have about 8 large clams happily chilling. The ocean temps off NJ normally get up to 78 degrees...I personally leave my tank at 77.5....thanks @DangerDave

Bay clams...same thing I think...the ones that taste good haha...I also put some bay snails in my frag tank...I have thrown clams from the fish store in my tank before but they died pretty quick...good tank good though.

Has anyone attempted a Jersey native tank before? Seemed pretty cool, not sure if a chiller is needed though.
The science center at Sandy Hook had a few native tanks many years ago. Not even sure it still exists.

At the extreme there's this one, looks pretty blah though https://www.priceypads.com/18m-navesink-river-mansion-relists-in-rumson-new-jersey-photos/ . It's crossed my mind but what could it really be? Some snapper blues and sea robins? I think harvesting baby stripers and flounder might be illegal even if you could catch them somehow. You could net up small bait fish right in the surf. I remember Paulie got his seahorses here and iirc a boxfish. Not sure if anything else.

Thanks for sharing this. Can you give us an idea of how large the pods are? They seem big based on some of the pics you are sharing.

@Yates273; so you just pulled seaweed and placed it in a bucket of water?
Yes ripped off clumps of mussels and seaweed attached to rocks on jetty and dear god there were thousands of pods amd some little crabs. I put a cardboard drink holder in bucket to keep from splashing on way home and when I looked they were attached to it. I still have ALOT that I am keeping alive with an air stone in a bucket with the seaweed amd love mussels.
