I read Paul's book but I don't recall reading him actively catching pods. Think they were brought in from ocean water he used for WC.

Here’s a few. I feel like I found gold when I pulled the first chunk of seaweed off the rock that’s how many there were. I was like a kid in the candy store I wanted more so I found a bucket on the beach amd grabbed Several more chunks giving me thousands of them.Like in one of the first few pictures I posted that dark Mass is nothing but pods clinging to the cardboard

Did you add any of the sea lettuce or mussels to the fuge?


If anyone local to me wants to take a ride on Monday or Tuesday next week for our own harvest lmk.

Not yet I just added the pods and the small crabs I don’t have much room in my sump for anything else I have three macroalgae is growing.

I would be concerned with how quickly small crabs became big crabs and weather or not they are reef safe. Other than that with my cheato growing kinda meh the thought of free macro is nice. That and free pods for my mandrin, wrasse and damsels. Can't have too many, right?

I still have ALOT that I am keeping alive with an air stone in a bucket with the seaweed amd love mussels.

Thanks for the bag of pods!!! Huge fat and active amphipods! Going to throw most in suno, but feed some to the display as well.

Isn't it funny what excites a reefer haha...I found sea bugs and they're free haha! I'm the same way.

Updates on adding the macro and crabs to your sump? I'm watching for a mid day low tide to make the run down. Next Tues is a possibility.
