Ash's 400 Gallon Reef

Thanks Amado. 84"x36"x30"
Greeting from next door Manalapan. This is a super tank and looking forward to watching this build and grow out. What do you plan on using for trace element supplements? How long do you plan on letting the tank cycle before adding all of those fish and coral?
Jaime - Thanks, I just dose acropower consistently whenever test shows depleted nitrates, Iodine, Strontium, iron, i dose a small amount to make sure nothing goes to zero.

I think i will wait 1 month before adding fish but maybe add tangs to a large section of my sump see how they do then catch my yellow tangs and add them to display in one shot. Depending on how the tanks looking i may add some tester softies corals after 2 months and if they do well after 1 month then add few montis. Ideally i shouldnt put anything for 6 months but what fun is that

Do you plan on using 2 part, calcium reactor, or kalk, or a combination?

This is my old tank before I tore it down 2 years ago and put it in the basement of my new house.

Most thing I am proud of my old tank is I felt I achieve very good random flow which resulted in good symmetrical growth pattern like you see on the garf bonsai and purple stylo. Hopefully i can duplicate the flow but may not be as easy.

If you did ones you can do it again for sure.
Nice colonys in that picture;)

Starboard was used to create baffles in my sump. No one says it will work but I roughed up the surface and using expoxy to glue the baffles down and will use silicone in other areas. So far so good but In case it does not hold I made sure baffles itself will never separate since I cut a tongue and grove in the 2 pieces of baffles so can have this Only drawback is I will have to have stable water line throughout my sump.

Plumbings pretty much done but I made the mistake of thinking flex PVC would make install easy. Its not really flex its bends circular and how much time do i have to hairdry it, even doing this i I ruined 2 bulkheads. Since I like the way flex I may give it one more shot but this time use unions instead.
