Asterina star

The coolest thing happened I have these little stars that are not such a nuisance. But I still don’t want them to get all over the place. I woke up this morning to seeing my red star eating them. I think my marine betta is also eating them As well as the bumble bee snails. Basically free food:) Can’t get better proof then that.
ps not an edited photo.
How did you get them under control?

harlequin shrimp
Do you know if all of them eat them or do I have to get a red one because next week I’m getting one. I noticed the harlequin shrimp doesn’t get the all.

I've had asterina since the first tank 4 years ago- never more than a few. I don't know what is keeping them in check- no big stars but I do have brittle stars, I just leave them be
