ATO got stuck on

My ATO float switch got stuck on yesterday afternoon. Salinity dropped from 1.025 to 1.022. No ill effects what so ever. I fugured I'd just let it evaporate back down. This morning all corrals are open and everything is happy. Once the level stabilizes, I thing I'm going to slowly lower my salinity to 1.022, seeing as there are no ill effects. Save a few $ on salt, and some say it may be beneficial to fish health.

Your coral will slowly recede, even when they look happy with polyps out, I had an issue with my coral slowly dying off, it would take 3-5 months but they would slowly recede and die, found out my refractometer was off and my salinity was 1.022, upped the salinity and it took care of the issue

Yeah, I would listen to the above advice. The general advice on a situation like this is corals can withstand a sharp drop but don't spike it up let it slowly move back up. Long term, you would only use hyposalinity in a fish only system, it would over time kill your corals and inverts. Sounds like you are on the right track.
