attention any and all euro-reef (or comparable skimmer) owners "middletown"

ok, advise please. stand for 125g tank built, it's a beast (on the inside) will be pretty on the outside, but strong as a gorilla. 32" tall, lots of room for sump maintanence, and nice tank viewing. it's 24 " wide, with a support wall to hold the back edge of the 18" wide 125. but is also sized for the eventual 180 upgrade. sump procured, oceanic model II. i have the euro-reef 135 skimmer. i'm adding a baffle to the sump to segregate the skimmer, and the filter sock. i can make this baffle any height i want, thus creating the desired water level for the sump. what i'm asking is:
1) if you are happy with the current depth of water that your skimmer sits in? if so, what is that depth.?
2) if the depth is not adequate, what is that depth now, and what depth would you make it if you were to change it?
3)the sump has a capped bulk head plug on the end that the return pump is going, so making it external would be no issue at all, plenty of room. the pump is a
mag 9. is it worth while to make this particular pump external? if not no big deal, cause it would not take much effort to make it so when i replace it at a later
date with a better one. thanks all for taking the time to read this, and any experienced advise will help.

Sorry but I never owned a Euro Reef skimmer before but if I were you, I would make the baffle a little on the high side to accommodate future skimmer upgrades (more water). You can always adjust the height of the skimmer by building a platforms. If building a platform, make sure you have enough room to remove the skimmer cup. If you are going to place the mag 9 externally (good idea as they tend to give off allot of heat) be carefull as they also tend to leak. I would silicone the mags cap to prevent leakage. You can easily remove it with a razor.
