Attention foodies! need help~ seriously

On a serious note:

without looking at wikipedia or the dictionary or the internet, what would you consider or what would be your interpretation of the word "fusion cuisine" or "fusion food"

and if you don't mind, I'd like to quote you, so if you wanna be quoted, post your first initial and last name

(I'm working on a project, here's a sampling underneath)

Here is my rendition

Fusion cuisine is the blending of flavors, textures, and aromas from different cultures from across the world. Your first taste should treat you with an indescribable complex flourish of flavors.

Now im getting hungry

KEEP THE IDEAS FLOWING GUYS!

Fusion to me is the marriage of two distinct styles of food/presentation.
I personally would not consider anything inserted in a cornbread muffin as fusion. :p

Take a close look at that bad boy….that is a nuclear burrito. Your stomach is the nuclear FUSION reactor. You pop that bad boy into your reactor and an hour later it goes critical, and hope you have a porcelain containment unit close by. That’s what Fusion Cuisine is all about.

IBS
some have it, some don't

i for example, go to an asian fusion restaurant with my fiancee, and the basic principle of fusion food to me is the blending of aspects from different regional food types. for instance the place i mentioned combines tai, chinese, and japanese foods...

"It's a fusion between Jazz & Funk... we call it Junk"

Ok... who knows where that line is from!?

I was going to initially say the cornbread + chili would not be but after you listed the ingredients I will change my opinion.

I would say Fusion is the combination of different ethnic favors(both spices and main ingredients) and techniques.
If you want to throw presentation in there you can.

It's coming guys, it's coming, thanks to the contributors.

I am taking some of your interpretations of fusion and adding them to the blog slowly but surely- but here's my studio for those who haven't been over.
