AWC on a 40 breeder?

I am currently running a 40 gallon breeder mixed reef with a 20 gallon sump. Is it worth it to set up an AWC using the Dos for a small system like mine?

Depends what you plan on keeping/fish bioload and your feeding regiment. Automating a tiny water change daily of like a gallon would be nice , you have to factor in how much your parameters swing, and also the salt mix that which your replacing it with. Seething that up you add another variable which can malfunction and can possibly crash/flood .

Yeah that’s the one thing that I keep circling back to is the chance of something getting stuck on or off amd dumping too much or not enough in tank. Eventhough I can set it up on Apex that worries me a little bit. After all I do enjoy tinkering with tank but I am always looking for something to add to my Neptune.

Yea that’s got to ultimately be your decision then, that’s why I have as little technology controlling my tank as much as possible.
