You can dooooooo it. Looks simple enough. You'll never be DIY unless you try. You need to let your inner DIY self out to be free. ;)

I was going to try this once, because I wanted to add baffles and my system was already running. It's not easy finding the EDPM Marine Foam Rubber though. I even tried a few Marine Boat Stores. Although I think they didn't want to be bothered...

I was never able to find EDPM either. I did find another similar marine grade weather stripping and gave it shot just to test out the theory. It worked "ok" but not really as good as the pictures show. The biggest problem I had was trying to seal the bottom corners on the baffle that goes all the way down. I tried a bunch of different things but couldn't figure out a way to make a good seal. In the end I just wound up using silicone.

That is the place where I got the idea for the raised baffle, though!

I use the epdm method, they way I sealed it at the bottom corners is by using the epoxy putty that you use to mount frags. the only thing I had to due on my other sump (40g) was use egg crate to hold the baffles in place I'll post some pic's tonight.

Here some shots of the one sump, I only used the EPDM on the one baffle for the skimmer side. The other baffles I used silicone.
