I'm looking for a good one right now.. I have two Coralife Digital Thermometers and both have crapped out on me and both gave different temps.. Any Suggestions would be really appreciated
Maybe i should have got one now .. I was thinking something like that for my 92 and have this one as a backup or in the 150 sump or even a QTBrando457 said:Sid,
If you don't mind spending the extra money pick-up a reefkeeper lite and then you can control your lights/everything + display temperature in one easy to read location.
I love my RKL after the initial setup everything is so easy and offers me peace of mind. I walk over and see OHH Temp is 78.4 and this way you don't have to worry about the heaters as much since they'll be on 2 controllers (built in + RKL). I also have mine set so that with the MH if the temperature ever goes above 85 the lights cut off or you can even have it turn on a fan/chiller to help cool the tank.
That one seem better then the one im getting and cheaper.. How did i miss this one :-[Lanie said:I have a "Marina AquaMinder" I purchased for about $25. I also have an ugly floating glass one too. So far (8 mos) the digital one has been right on.

That is right you're plumbing the sump in the basement!
I'd say go with the RKL you saw mine setup I think and I love it.
I'm pretty sure you can extend the temp probe connection if you wanted to mount the headunit upstairs next to the tank and the probe in the sump!
I'll check into it for you, but for $99 can't really beat the price especially since you won't need bulky timers and it has the controller built in for the heaters.
