Read some great reviews on the Hygger bio-media for ponds. Picked up a large box for $40 off Amazon.

Wow those are pretty big and inexpensive for what you get. Would be nice to eliminate all of my pot scrubbers and bio balls in my pond filter for these. If anyone thinking about using them on your reef tank their website does say not suitable for saltwater, Wonder why.

Good point, didn't mention they were FW, 1st post updated.
These are going into a filter system for an 800g pond.

Apparently can raise nitrates. Reviews go both ways, some say they work great, some report nitrate spike.
