Biopellets...which ones??

So I'm thinking about diving into biopellets....I gave up on vodka dosing.

Brandon is telling me good things about Dr. Tim's Reef Pearls as they are 100% organic with no fillers. But I was hoping to save a little bit of money through the group buy.

Premium has....their own generic brand, Vertex, Brightwell, TLF NPX and Biosphere...any suggestions??

I've been using NPX pellets and I have no complaints so far. Been running for about 3 months now with no phosphate readings above .04ppm and nitrates run about 2ppm. I just increased how much I was using but it's still about half what I should be using. Whatever one you use start them VERY slow.

This is one of those things we will never know. Is there actually a difference between them? and who has the same manufacturer!

Steve,

What is pushing your move to bio-pellets? Nitrates and/or Phosphates? In my experience, bio-pellets preferentially remove Nitrates. If you're looking for Phosphate reduction, I think you're going to be very disappointed. (My (DIY) Sulfur Nitrate reactor keeps my Nitrates at 6ppm, and is relatively maintenance free in a 700G system. PM me if you'd like see it.)

Regards,
Bob
