birds nest?

Is birds nest difficult to keep? I got a few frags about 6 weeks ago and they appeared to be doing well tips were white and growing the rest of the frag was colorful and polys were out. About 2 days ago I noticed the frags have turned white all together but the polys are still out. I moved them from the top of the rock to the sand bed. Where is there ideal location?

What kind of lighting do u have?

I'd go with heat -- lost my fluorescent green in the heat wave last weekend. Although I've had that happen to a totally heatlhy-appearing colony overnight. Never figured out what caused it.

I have some sitting on my sand, some mid-way in the tank and some high. The high is the purple polyp and I think it looks better than the one on the bottom. The one in the middle is the ponape so a different strain. It is also doing well where it is. If it is new and you have halides or T5s, I'd be inclined to start lower and move it up as it acclimates.
