So I got the stock tank from Stan, ballasts and harnesses from the Ice Cap open house and a Savko order is on the way.
I'll be painting the primer coat this weekend. Before the carpeting comes I'm going to plumb everything and water test the tank.
Just twiddling my fingers until the real fun begins.

I spend almost every spare minute painting. Hopefully we'll finish this weekend. Don't know how you do this for a living Stan. ;D
The good news is I have all my plumbing and lighting parts. Also have rock and sand. I need some salt but the AO sale a week from Friday will solve that! And thanks again for the sump.

BTW Erna, your ballast was repaired at the Ice Cap open house. I don't want to try it on the fixture in case that's what blew it in the first place. I tested it on my lights and it works fine.
When I start wiring my canopy I'll look at the wiring on your fixture. In the meantime, if you need an extra ballast, you have one.
You also have some small marine pellets that I can bring to AO next week. I'm planning on spending most of the day.

If it makes you feel any better Bill I just signed a contract to paint a 5000sq. ft. home, top to bottom 2 coats on everything with alot of prep work to do first! Should take about 6 weeks. Wanna come help? ??? ;D
No pictures, but a short update from the Buddhist monastery. If you read some of the other tank building threads you'll get the Buddhist joke. Of course in the spirit of true Buddhism it would be totally free of humor (or anything else) and about nothing. But I digress.
There is a hole in my living room floor. so now I'm committed to the basement sump. ;D
I also cut a few length's of PVC and assembled to check before cementing.
Not much, but better than nothing.
