Blennies

9 months ago I got a very small starry blenny from a fellow reefer and added it to my 75g and never saw it again. I kicked myself at the time thinking I should have put it in the 13g until it got bigger. I assumed it died. This morning when feeding I noticed a fish lurking in the shadows. At first I thought it was one of my 2 Molly Millers, but it was smaller, and I was able to catch them hopping around the rock. It has to be the starry blenny. Never knew they were so shy

I'm starting to think that my Molly Millers aren't both mm's and that the Starry Blenny isn't a starry blenny-it doesn't have the typical markings of a starry- I can't get a good pic of it. The attached photo is of the 2 mm's I have-I got them from different vendors- the one on the bottom is a mm, not sure about the one in the top of the pic

Mine sure wasn’t shy. Always out hopping from perch to perch. When I fed if I cupped my hand and put it in the tank my starry would come and sit in it.

Top one is definitely not a starry Blenny but in the blenny family

Top one was supposed to be a Molly Miller- don't think it's that either- gets along fine with the real one- more of a percher, the real MM is a big swimmer and when it sees me get close to the tank, sits on a rock waiting to be fed lol

So now I have 2 mystery blennies- in one in the pic and another that hides in the shadows, eats flakes and algae, so now I have 6- a bicolor, a canary, a molly miller, a striped and 2 mystery ones. Best part is that none are territorial or aggressive- all get along fine with each other and all the other tank mates
