Blue Heron rescue

Saturday walking around the lake my wife and I saw a Great Blue Heron. She said its wing looks messed up and I said nah, its fine. Well Sunday came we saw it in the same spot looking the same way. I approached to get a pic and it tried to fly away but couldn't. So my wife tracked down someone at popcorn Park Zoo and they came today to rescue. Some pics.

Those birds are always eating my koi. Last year I spent $489 on koi ffrom Brocks Farms in Colts Neck. By Sept they were all gone. This has happened for the past 10 years. I am debating if I want to add more fish this year.

Had same problem with my pond when I had one. I purchased a net to cover the pond and they were unable to get the fish.

Get a CD, tie a string through the hole, hang it from a branch or a pole over or next to the pond.
Wind blows the CD, CD spins and shines and reflects light, birds get scared away due to the movement.
Started doing this 2 years ago and the local heron hasn't taken a fish since.
