BM Curve 5 Skimmer

I am considering this skimmer for my tank build. I read that you need 9 to 11 inches of water for it to operate which seems like to much. I then read on R2R and other sites people are running them in 7 or 8 inches of water. My sump has a 6 to 7 inch water dept. Do you think the skimmer will function properly or should I like for something else?

Thanks,
Mark

I had mine in 7 and it worked great. I have one for sale that is almost brand new if you are interested.

I measured the baffle and re-red the description. It is 6 inches max so any thoughts?

I have mine in 8inches I think you will be fine. I want to raise mine to about six, just waiting to buy some more marine pure to put under it.
