Brando's 60G Deep Blue Display :)

You can get this one with the rim for $300, rimless was $330. They make a 48x24x18 I'd get if I didn't need a tank immediately

Sent from my mind.

Brandon,
Was that the cost with stand or tank only. I like very much I was eyeing one up at allquatics that they used during the swap. Though I might consider the 18" deep

Tank only, I'd do the 18" tall one if I could for the 48 x 24 x 18, but no way I'm switching tanks again and I'm happy with this one. Eventually once everything is settled and I have more $ I'll do my ultimate tank, but that won't be for awhile. I have to prioritize myself and get my student loans paid off!

I have the bigger version and got it at trop for I think $250 or $280. they had to order it but they got it in a couple of days.

Brandon, I talked my wife into that 18" deep version of your tank. Question? Did you get the matching stand also". What's your opinion on the deep blue stand.

I think he is still using the stand from his 180 for this tank and his frag tank.

Personally, I think the DB stands are pressed particle board pieces of junk. When I was looking for a stand for my 65 the LFS had a 36x18" deep blue in stock, I looked at it, and said no thanks. I told them to order me a black pine AGA stand, even if I had to wait 2 weeks for the AGA to come in.

I have a custom stand so my display sits next to my.frag tank. The stand was nice but seemed like it would be a nightmare fitting anything in it. You can use any 48 x 24 stand fyi.

I'd probably just make my own to be honest.

Well it appears my fish have marine velvet as the powder blue is dead and I thought I lost another wrasse, but found it tonight barely moving on the bottom of the tank. I was able to get both wrasses out tonight and moved them to my frag tank. I then moved all my remaining frags into the display. Planning on leaving the display fallow for 6 weeks then run hypo on the frag tank :X

After 8 weeks of patiently waiting and qt-ing my fish, I finally moved them over!

The count is at:

1. Orange Back fairy wrasse
2. 2 Chromis (lost the third one in QT)
3. black cap basslet

Going to hopefully get my clowns soon and a few other fish. I'm going to transition from a reef to a fowlr for the time being also.
