I'd worry about water intrusion into the fixture. Your temp may climb and your fixture will be a couple of inches closer to your corals. I'd look for replacement legs.

I agree with the above. I would also be worried about adding heat to the tank and heat on the plastic trim and center brace. What kind of fixture is it ?

You can try some 2x4s for a quick fix

Jose, what kind of stands did you have on yours? Was it the kind that slides in a track, and screws hold them in place? If so, I might have a set for you. I know I bought a set a while ago from PA or something and it didn't fit my model.

I'll take a look in the garage this weekend to see if I kept them or not. If I did, you can have them for free. I don't have the fixture any more, but I may have kept them just cause they were brand new and... well, you never know when someone might need em.
 
Are these the legs. I have 3 from my old light. Can't remember which one was missing. Your welcome to them
