Broken skimmer cup

I picked up this skimmer the other day and the collection cup is broken off from the base. Jut wondering the best way to glue it back and not worry about it leaking.
Was thinking aquarium glue and rubber-bands around it keep nice and tight and let cure for a few days. Not sure if keeping the skimmer as I picked up a larger one, PSK2000.
If I get rid of this one just don't want someone to get screwed with it leaking.
Any other suggestion? Pics attached.

Thanks for looking.

What they said.
Weld-on 16 is more of a gel, but does same thing as #4. But it's a better choice of the break is not perfectly smooth. Of perfectly smooth then go with #4
