Brown algae issues and sps

Hey reefers. I've been having a problem recently with some kind of brown algae. It's getting on everything and today I came home to some tissue loss on some sps while others are looking great. My params are good with no detectable phos. No fish missing and nothing showing red flags. Here's some pics of it amd some sps

In this pic u can see the tissue loss. It has the brown growing on it which appeared a few days ago. It has very good flow in it and it's been in the same spot since the beginning

Len any way you could put up bigger pics? Tough to tell from the small ones. Is the algae hard or more leafy?

I'll get some closer shots after work. The algae isnt leafy but it's not hard. I can vac it off but it's back the next day. The only thing I've done in the past 6 mnths that's different was use micro bacter 7 and biofuel but then I got some cyano and stopped it 2 mnths ago. Cyano went away then this showed up

Things are starting to really go south on a few sps. I keep testing and double checking with a pinpoint system and everything is stable and undetectable phos and under 5 on trates. I do water changes bio monthly with 60 or so gal each. I'm stumped. I vac it up and it's back the next day. This is what I came home to today

Kind of looks like diatoms, are you using RO water and have you changed filters recently? If it is diatoms they are feeding off the silicates in the water. As far as the SPS goes, cut the coral off below where it is white, like well below.

I have an ro that I replace filters once a month. New resin, carbon. Sediment gets every other month. I'll test for silicates. Could it be from egg frag racks?

Generally people are more concerned with them leaching phosphates than silicates. Has your sand gotten stirred up a lot recently?

Not anymore than normal. The only stirring is when the coris dives under for the night. I'm gonna pick up a silicate test kit and see what happens. I'll chop the acro in the am and hopefully save what's left. Not much else I can do I guess
