I placed the rocks by feel. Once it clears up i'll send a pix. As for what I'm running. just a sump now minus the balls as I was recommended to do the rock sand now power heads and I have a protien skimmer in the box for when Iadd fish.I have yet to do a chem test but I have red sea reef foundation pro test kit yet to be open.I had the tank running with live sand and 70lbs of rock for 3 weeks or so. I also just filled my first brute can full of rodi water.
PS whats GFO
Tap water. Just got the ro di system....im in no hurry to get the fish in I have time do I just let in go for a month or so. Will nature eventially take its course
Sounds like a phosphate problem from using tap water.. Your best bet is to get a reactor and start running media to reduce it and water changes will help to..

yes nature will do it's thing however you might experience long term problems using tap water. +1 on the water changes. if you have nothing in there i would just do a 50%. what kind of salt are you using?
