bulb $$ question!

AO (one of our sponsors) has bulbs for $24 which includes tax w/ our discount. if you want to skip on shipping cost and the chance of them arriving broken this is prob. the way to go. also if you get on the bulb group buy thats also a great route to.

I must say, that membership pays for itself.
i would love to support our sponsors if they weren't all 1 hour drive plus 1 hour drive back.
24$/each bulb x 4 96 + tax +-100 + gas 2 hours in evo about 3-4gallons +8$ + miles on maintenance for car and lower value due to increased mileage +?$$$$$$$
21$/each bulb x 4 84 + 8shipping&handling + 3 tax = 95 chance of bulbs break = maybe but i can send back to get a replacement
i personally wouldn't mind spending more to support our site sponsors. it's just too much of a hassle without a NNJ LFS sponsor (especially with the bulbs).
ha get Absolutely fish as a NJReefers sponsor so that we would get prices almost at normal price? that sounds like a good idea!

We have tried a number of times to get AF to sponsor and they were not interested. I ordered my bulbs from ReekGeek because at the time AO didn't carry ATI bulbs.

Yes I've talked to both.
I ordered my t5's from reefgeek when i had my t5 lighting setup and they were about 21 bucks each, and i was very pleased with the bulbs. they had much better color and helped bring the tank out more compared to my original set of bulbs. I have since switched over to a 2 150w MH with 2 54w t5 setup and still use two actinic t5s from reefgeek.
