Thanks guys! It's still going to be a couple weeks till I pop some frags in. I'm going up to thirty5's place this weekend to make the light fixture. That should be the last piece that I NEED to start up. Still have to get the 3rd MP10 but other than that I think I'm OK. Of course with my new addiction to cool/expensive fish who knows how long that might take.

As far as the other fish I want beside the Naoke, I'm really thinking of either a Swales or regular Swissguard Basslet. Of course AO had a Swissguard but it was sold. Anyone have either? I'm also considering Blennies. Kinda leaning towards a Tailspot. I used to have one and it was an awesome little guy.

Well, the Naoke Wrasse is home and acclimated. He's been out poking around a bit but mostly he's hiding. He came out when I fed and looked around but didn't snatch anything up. Looked interested though and I saw him eat at the store twice so no worries really. I also scored an awesome little micro Dendro frag. Pretty cool little guy.

I will try and get a pic or 2 of the Wrasse but he didn't want to cooperate tonight.

We have a swelesi (swales) in the 57g. They are really cool but very reclusive, all of the basslets are reclusive. We catch him during feeding time and going in between rocks. Ours we got at AO after it was there for two months, which was good because they can be tough to get to eat and can die early. Diver's Den has a candy basslet up, you can always pick him up.:semi-twins:

Hmmmmm. Maybe I don't want a Swales Swissy..... thanks for the info Mike, I may have to pick something different. I just called them Micro Dendros bucause Will did. The Balanophyllia I have seen don't have the same skeleton structure as these do. I will take a pic from the side so you can see it. Kinda like a Pipe Organ Coral with a little stony looking skeleton for each polyp. I was thinking about going to the NPS forum on Reef Central to ask about them. There are some sserious NPSers on there. Either way though, I'm an NPS sucker and I couldn't beat the price so I figured i would give it a shot.

Thanks Tony! He's doing awesome. Out and swimming around a lot. He also ate Mysis and Cyclopeez today so I'm pretty happy.

Great news! The Naoke Wrasse has ich!

I had a couple fish come down with ich when the tank first started. It went away on it's own after a few days and I'm hoping he's no different. Anyone have any suggestions? A QT tank isn't really a possibilty. He's eating well and seems to be perfect otherwise. This really stinks man......

sorry to hear about the ich, my fish came down with it and it was a pain. had to put in Qt for 6 weeks so all the ich in the tank could cycle, and die off. with no hosts to feef off of the ich will disapear. sorry to tell you tried many things garlic, viyamin c, uv light. none of wich worked but Qt.

good luck

Bummer about the ick!

I've always leaned on improved water quality, UV and feeding well drained, high protine foods like PE mysids and let the fish get through it. I have seen bouts of ick after some of my massive office moves.

Sooooo. The tank is cycled, lit and has it's first inhabitants. Picked up 2 Red Firefish yesterday and put the lights up. Thanks to Anthony (thirty5) for helping me out with the hangers. Here its!!:

Thanks AJ.

I forgot to mention before that the ich is cleared up with the Naoke Wrasse. Now I'm just worried when I try to move him over that he may have a recurrence.....

It's finally a functioning tank!!!! About time. :p ;)

I second the nice rock work comment, looking good! I can't wait to see it when you get some more livestock in there.

Thanks Brian! It took long enough, that's for sure but I think it was worth taking my time.

How long should I wait for corals? i wanted to start moving some zoos over beore they really grow onto the rock in the 30.

With the fish in there, watch for any Ammonia or Nitrites if they stay 0 during the week, you could start moving zoos this weekend.

With my tank, all my fish went in for a week by themselves. Then I started moving my soft corals one week (GSP, Kenya tree, Xenia), then the following week my zoo garden and LPS, and the next week (week 5) all the SPS.

Sounds good Brian, thanks. I think it's going to be awile before I get to the acros. They're all doing great in CJ's tank so I figure why chance it before I know for a fact it's ready for them.

Thanks to you too Kevin. Don't feel bad. I know that I wish more time and thought had gone into my original tanks rockwork. The first tnak is always kind of a starter tank to learn for the upgrade!
