Buying Acrylic

I am planning to buy clear cell cast acrylic from mcmaster.com based on a suggestion by a fellow reefer. A 1/4" acrylic sized 48"X24" costs $87 from this website. I am planning to build a sump and is this the material should I use?

If your located up norh you can try acme plastics in Little Falls or Grewe Plastics in Newark and save on shipping. Also Acme sells scrap by the pound so if your not picky about color you could save some money that way also. If your down south PM RichT and see where he gets his acrylic.

I usually get my 1/4" stuff from homedepot unless it's something special. It's usually around $5 per sq.ft.
The price you have listed is over $10 per sq.ft. A regular plastic place should be less than $5/sf.

Thank you!. Getting it at homedepot saves a lot of hastle for me. Is there a specific brand or type that you buy? I saw a brand called lexan in Home depot.

Also the size of the sump I am planning is 42X20X16.
