So I refill my alkalinity and calcium containers for the auto-dosers, and two days later my calcium container is empty (one gallon)! I'm not sure why.....maybe my antique ReefKeeper has gone "HAL" on me (....for you guys/gals too young, a 2001 Space Odyssey reference).
So I spent the day making 50 gallons of fresh saltwater and did a water change (and cleaned the sump, skimmer and biopellet reactor, while I was at it.) I've just finished and didn't even bother to test for alk and calc. I know it's through the roof. Maybe I'll do it tomorrow. Corals looked PO'ed, but at this point nothing keeling over. I'll start making more water tomorrow and see what I have. Darn, it's always something. At this point I've unplugged both dosing pumps.
