You are correct, I have nitrate on a dosing pump and can keep my levels exactly at 2 nitrate, .03 phos.

It got rid of cyano. I am using a diy version of nopox and it has been the best thing I have ever done for my tank.

With that you dont use the sponge. I use the 10" reactor just like that. The GFO will need to bubble or roll so your not packing it in and containing it with the sponge.

I am at the point where I either have a buy a real biopellet reactor, or considering vodka, nopox dosing, can I shot you a pm on your diy formula and some basic info.

Thanks all for the ideas and insights. I ordered a bigger reactor from BRS and some new rowaphos. Mine is like 5 years old.

The recipe is
Vokda: 375ml (40% abv, 80 proof)
RODI: 125ml
Vinegar: 500ml (5% acetic acid). Then follow the red sea nopox instructions. My tank has never looked better.

Thank you definitely going to give it a whirl. So you mix the 3 in one container. Do they separate? And in future can i use a dosing pump with it. I looked around online and found recipe and instructions but nothing on it being mixed in the same container.

Yes, mix it all together and it will stay together and not separate.....a simple solution. And yes, you can use a dosing pump.

I use rowa but phosfiltrum imo is the best. Im also really like the Avast Marine spyglass reactors.

Just read about the nopox. Im actually in the process of switching from nopox to biopellets.
