Camera Opinion needed

I am looking for a new camera, nothing fancy just a point and shot for family pics. The one I have now is old and a long delay for the flash.
I was looking at this reviews were not great but figured I would ask anyway.

The camera is a Fuji Finepix JZ250 Digital Camera

Thanks,
Mark

Go Canon or Nikon. All the other brands are a few years behind. Those two are the only ones that have invested enough into sensor research. Everyone got into the megapixel wars, kept bumping them higher, but image quality suffered since the whole industry wasn't improving light sensitivity as fast as they were increasing density.

My ex took about $50k of camera equipment with her, and about 10-20 point an shoots were given to her every year... I've played with a ton of 'em.

Canon (or Nikon as a second) and really no one else.

Consumer Reports gave the Nikon Coolpix S9100 their "Recommended Best Buy" rating, in the super zoom category.
And the CanonPowerShot SX130 IS in the compact category.

I second Canon, or Nikon.. better lense quality even on point and shoots. I'd also look into maybe the waterproof point and shoots as an option just in case you want some strange in tank shots.

Thanks everyone one. I picked up very cheap Canon "Power Shot A1200". So far no issues.

I m not the best at picture taking especially when it comes to the tank. This camera is mainly to get pics of grandson before he moved and they are blurry. Adults do the same thing because they watch you press the button but don't wait for the delayed flash. No flash delay here. Now the random pics:

Here is the main subject for pictures. This was taken in a room and other than the flahs only the TV was on.

Takes good pics for a point and shoot camera. Cute grandson by the way. I remember when my daughter was that small miss those days.

Jose, I am happy with it so far and really can't beat it for under $100. Thanks for the grandson compliment.
I know what you mean they grow so fast; hard to believe 2 of kids are over 20 already.
