So went out for a bit earlier and came home a few hours later. I see something flapping in my power head oumpr. It turns out to be my file fish so I assume the worst. Get a net to scoops it out and as I bet net it fish swims right out and appears unharmed. This now the second uncidence, 1st was when he ate glue an fused his mouth. Wonder if he had 7 lives left.

'The EverFish'.
Freshwater, standard goldfish/carpy thing.
Got in Upstate NY, generic store, 50 cents.
I was a student living in a non-AC attic.
Heatwave arrives.
Apartment hit 110F.
All fish died with exception of EF.
Graduate 4 years later.
EF follow me to another region of NY.
Then moves with me and wife to NJ.
Get him a nice 20g, with planted bamboo, friends, and all.
Sandy hits.
Evacuated by military, 'Get out NOW!' thing.
We return 2 months later to collect whats left.
Not much.
Dead fish on the stairs (from the ocean) leading to the second floor.
There, a 10g tank, so green and vile smelling.
As I empty it, the EF is happily swimming about.
Transferred to a 2.5g, the EF travels with us from hotel to hotel, from relatives to friends.
Lives in his 2.5g tapwater tank for 2 years.
Eventually we buy a new home.
EF fins the bucket a week later just before we move in and upgrade his digs.
**** luck.
Reckon he ran about 20 lives in his 8 years.

Seems my fish is a fan of baseball, 3 strikes and your out.
Before going to bed last night checked on it and was stuck to PH again. he is resting peacefully now.

I used to have a convict cichlid s a teenager and was lax at cleaning the tank, it was black and could not see bright white rock I had in it. It smelled bad so my dad told me to clean the tank and toss fish. Well this thing was still alive and huge so I clean everything up and new water; next day it was dead.
