Ok, the truth is....after putting on a hefty 25 lbs (despite walking a minimum of 15 miles/week), adding too much stress to even get into.....I lit up again. :-[ :-[ :-[ Bad enough that I feel like an utter and complete failure. Alex has quit, going on 3 months now, has NOT exercised, nor has he gained an ounce. Go figure! You all know I wasn't "small" to begin with, but putting on that amount of weight didn't help my self-esteem a wee bit. It sucks to fail.

Really!!! Are you having any heat issues with that light fixture? I currently have a 6x39w bulb Tek fixture and the heat that comes out of it is unbelievable. I wish they had put some kind of fans in the fixture.

I have the 4 bulb fixture and no heat from the fixture, even after being on for 8hrs I can still put my hand on top of it and it's just warm. Do you have the vents block on the the fixture? is it under a canopy?

Ralph, what do you see that you like? Let me know so I can "chop away". There are no secrets. Heck, my system is really simple. Everything's done manually. :-[

Willi, I have no heat issues whatsoever. I do have an open canopy - I'm sure that makes a bit of a difference.

awesome tank - and don't be discouraged about the so-called "failure". In my opinion, the only failures are those who don't bother to try. You're doing just great!
