Central Air Condenser

Jim

I had to replace my ac and furnace last Fall and used Rubino in Voorhees. We went with Carrier all around and am very happy with it as with the installation by Rubino. They weren't the cheapest but did good work. My brother had a similar experience with them. At the time NJ had some very good rebate programs in place that might be worth looking into.

FRAG SWAP VENDOR
I just replaced both my units 2 years ago and went with Rheem/Rudd. My house is cooler than ever before and electric bills considerably less. Was also able to take advantage of the rebates thru the NJ clean energy program...

I have a really good HVAC guy here in Mt. Laurel. This is for a unit I have in Mays Landing. I have a guy I feel I can trust, but I want to make sure he uses a good condenser. So, I was looking for some opinions.

im actually in the market right now looking for a guy/equipment to replace my dead ac/force heat units and condensor, how much will this thing runs including avrg labor, and anyone know if there its someone that can finance as well?

Where are you located?

i replaced my old compressor and got a frigidaire 3 ton 16 seer. This past heat wave was not even noticable - the thing actuallly turned off. That never happened with my old piece of junk. I got the NJ clean energy rebate too which helped to defer the steep cost. Overall i'm happy with the product although I felt like he could have done a better job sealing it so that not so much cool air leaks out the ducts...

Look at the NJ Energy Star web page to see if what programs they have running. Last year with an energy audit and some improvements they were offering major rebates/credits along with interest free loans. You can be looking at anywhere from 4 or 5k to well over 10k depending on the equipment you need and the bells and whistles you choose for furnace and ac.

Nothing stops a Trane...

+1 on Rubino, not that it helps in mays landing when you got a guy...

it is hard to stop a trane, but when they do they cost alot to get 'em going again!!! goodman, rheem/ruud... most will do the same, you're gonna and up wit a 13 seer "dry unit" that will be charged with r22 unless you change your coil for an r410 overhaul.
