Central Jersey. I have Arrived. - Now I gots Questions

Hey Guys,
I've been AFK from the forums for quite a bit except for my alarming post about selling off everything and restarting my tank. SO. Just for an update.
I have successfully relocated to Trenton, NJ.. YAY! The new tank and stand made it all in 1 piece with no damages. Most importantly, my family also made it here in 1 piece! We are fully moved in and in Unpacking mode.

As for my tank. Radiata aka Bob the Awesomest Fishkeeper/Frogkeepr/DogKeeper evur! Is currently holding all of my critters and corals under some T5's in an undisclosed location protected 24/7 by a Grey Hound and a Tuff white little furball. Oh.. and the Poison Frogs... ya...

The move itself was pretty freakin crazy.. UHAUL Flat Tires, Multiple Trips 60miles Each Way..! All In all it was worth it. I finally have a big enough apartment to hold a decent sized meeting. Hopefully early next year I will be doing just that. In addition to running for Office.

Now I have a few questions.

I'm literally walking Distance from PA. What are the LFS that you guys frequent in this area? I will still be able to Visit Feng and Ocean Gallery Albeit only Every 2 weeks or so.

Also who's in the neighborhood? Anyone got a Boat that likes to go Fishing? I split for Boat Gas.

hcker99. - According to my wife. I am no longer allowed to go to your house and buy corals especially now since I live like 10 minutes away. Some nonsense about... spending children's college fund on Scolys or something.. I mean come on i got like 18 years to save up...But since she can read this I totally agree. However, There's nothing wrong with meeting in a non-descript parking lot.

Not too far from Trenton are two LFS’s in PA:

The Hidden Reef, Inc
4501 New Falls Rd
Levittown, PA 19056

And a couple miles away:

The Fish Factory
3021 Veterans Hwy, Route 413
Bristol, PA 19007

Welcome to the land of below average LFS's AKA South Jersey.

Allquatics is probably the closest. I live about 5 min from there and try to go as little as possible. They do get a good variety of fish from time to time but the corals are usually blah and the dry goods are a bit on the expensive side with little selection.

The Hidden Reef is Levittown, PA. As far as dry goods that's the place to go. Good selection, and they are willing to order stuff if you want it. By far the best prices on salt anywhere. Their regular daly prices are normally better the. The prices we get in the salt group buy. As far as livestock goes, fish selection can be good if you get there on a shipment day, but the corals are by far the worst I have ever seen in any LFS period.

Fish Factory in Bristol, PA is probably your best all around bet as far as a LFS goes. The dry goods are a bit more expensive but they carry what "reefers" want. Fish and coral are a pretty good go there also.

For what it's worth when I need something or want to visit a LFS I usually take the hike to AO or look online.

Welcome to the area, enjoy.

Coral? We don't sell coral. We offer financial planning for college. We are running a special now that with every financial plan purchased you receive a free scoly :)

Lol. I'm only a mile or so from this peddler of broken college dreams. Welcome to the area. 195 can be a quick trip so you have lots of choices for fs. :).

I'm not to far from where you are I'm in Hamilton / yardville area and I'm still looking for a decent Lfs around. I try not to go to allquatics but live so close . Hidden reef is ok but prices seem a little high for certain things.

I think these guys hit it on the head with the LFSs. If you ever find yourself west of Philly, Aqurium Specialties and Research is worth a visit.

Your in a good location when it comes to fishing. Lots of spots to wade for smallies and at the right time of year stripers, shad, and walleye on the delaware. The salt is a quick ride east out 195. Harrys and The Sportsmans Center are the local shops on 130.

Everyone likes to be from central jersey because that's where all the real reefers live. :)
