Ceramic Tile

I work for a ceramic tile store. My question is can I use a plain 4x4 ceramic tile to use as frag plugs?

Yup, We do it all the time for larger frags. Best to use non glazed tiles or if they are glazed use the underside.

Ive seen them used before. The only concern I see would be any glaze or paint used in it.

No John I have access to the none glazed stuff. In variety of sizes. I don't even have to cut them. Cause they come in 1x1 , 2x2 , 3x3 , 4x4 , 6x6

Raw ceramic.... u should be golden then....

As a matter of fact can u take a frag disk order.... LOL

I agree with Edwin, should be good to go. Toss a few in the sump to make sure they don't leach anything, then frag away

Should you do that with regular frag plugs as well or can you use them fresh out of the bag?

Honestly you could use them out of the package. I like to throw them in the sump for a week or so just to get any "new plug" dust off of them.

I do the same thing. Whenever I get a new bag I just throw them in the sump and pull them when I need.

I usually soak my frag plugs in vinegar/RO mix for a few days to "cure". I would do the same with ceramic. If you need plugs Jose, I can give you a bunch. Or, they're cheap enough on Saltcritters.com.
