I didn't notice the Holocanthus clarionensis until mentioned in this thread. Aren't they extremely rare/endangered?
If that were the case - (and this guy did say he was in the "fish business") - isn't it a bit unethical - no matter how you cut it - to have one in a tank? Shouldn't we as hobbyists, police ourselves to ensure folks don't reduce the environment of limited resources?
I was a little dismayed by the flippant remark the guy made about getting 12 cleaner wrasses - throwing them in the tank and knowing he'd lose 9~10 in the hopes of keeping one.
I guess I don't think we should glorify this guy by oooing and awing. Maybe I'm wearing the "bad cop" hat today - but that's just what I see. The tank is nice but I'm not sure the ends justify the means.

I think the fish are great but that set up is horendous. I watched the video and I think it's boring.

I agree with you on the setup - it is really aesthetically bad - cheap plastic feeling. There are other ways you can make your fish in the tank stand out. If it was a case of a need for reduced maintenance I could understand, but with the amount of work he is putting into it (scrubbing glass, bleaching rocks and sand, 50% and 100% water changes on a 220 gal is not a small thing), this is obviously someone who does not understand or appreciate the beauty of the NATURE. And while his fish might be pricey, guys, think how much money we spend taking CARE of 10$ frags. This is just bird in a small golden cage. They survived for 3 years but at what cost. If he used cleaner wrasse to feed other fish that NEEDS to eat the them, I wouldn't have problem if he used hundreds of them - just a cycle of life. But his method is pure cruelty and lack of care. But then, what can you expect from someone who has ceramic tiles in the living room (I guess it is the living room by the rest of the furniture).

i don't think keeping live-rock in a tank like that cost much more $...
i *think* *may be* *perhap* the way he do it with the plastic looking decor are easy to remove for cleaning... with live rock would be too heavy to move around... plus can't get the fish he wanted to sell when needed (without remove LR from the tank first!)... :
