Christmas gift reef doser...

I brought this up before, but couldn't find the thread.

My kids are looking for a Christmas gift for dear old dad and I told them I need a 3-4 channel dosing pump.

Went looking again for brands etc and found this one:

Aqua Medic Reefdoser EVO 4 Dosing Pump $159.00

Anyone have any experience with this company/model?

Any suggestions as to another brand like Bubble Mangus etc?

I like the BRS setup, but don't want to get separate timers. Want something programmable.

I have the Jebao DP-4 from Fish Street. Cost $100 and has worked consistently for the last couple of years.

The aqua medic looks exactly like the jebao except the controller is slightly different. I think they just put their name on it. I have had the jebao 4 channel for over a year and has been flawless.

And the bubble magus is better built if you have the money, I did not. The jebao has been good to me

I'm not sure which is the latest version but the earlier ones had some issues and were being sold on Ebay.

Can I use RODI tubing for the dosers? I have lot of that laying around or do I need something special?

Nope but just use normal flexible air tubing.
