Cleaner Shrimp Intervention?

So my cleaner shrimp was trying to clean a little too much and got his (arm?) stuck in a snail shell. Its been a day and hes just dragging it along with him.

My question is should I try to catch him and get the shell off or should I just let it be?

I vote for let it be. Shrimp are fragile. I think you trying to remove the snail would do more harm than good.

The good news is that if it's claw breaks off it will just regrow. I would still let it be though.

Give it a few more days After that I would help it.. what ever comes off will grow back..As paul said they are fragile so pick it up by the snail shell and not the shrimp body

I was thinking to pull it off for that very reason - that it will regrow. But if it's fine with the shell on it, maybe it is just lugging around the shell as food for later?
