Cleaning Glass

I am having trouble keeping the front glass clear of algae. It's a 45g bow front and I have the scraper which holds a straight edge razor blade but still not very effective. Any suggestions appreciated.

bow fronts are a bit difficult, scraper is usually the best option but even then if its not kept on a perfect angle the blade will not contact fully. if it's just film algae, one of those coarse pads on a stick might work better as it will form a bit more to the glass, i used one of them for freshwater on my bow front, for coralline though you're better off using the scraper.

I have a 36g bow front and a 54g corner (front glass is bow). I use the small mag float. it hugs the glass the best but problem is it disconnects if I move too quickly.

I have the small mag too and have the same problem. Also, the coraline algae stays in place.

I use one of those long stick scrubbers for the bowfront glass Top Fin® Aquarium Scrubber & Scraper Combo

It doesn't go all the way but it does make it easier

Thanks everyone. I ended up using the small mag float and then replaced the blade in the other one. I also moved the blade holder to the other side so it would be closer to the glass and that seemed to work better.

I have a 180 bow front and I have to use a flipper which does a pretty good job but it can be very hard to reach stubborn spots. I usually order a new blade for it then hit the hard spots
