Considering going FOWLR

I love SPS...I really do, but I am truely considering going FOWLR!!

I thought I was making some headway with my tank...Phosphate was down to the lowest level ever, water was clear, everyone looked happy...including the Bryopsis...can't kill this stuff.

Then today...I look in my tank and my HUGE Orange Setosa and HUGE Valida are GONE!!

The Valida is completely gone!!

My Setosa, there was still some living flesh, but COME ON!!!

This thing was HUGE and BRIGHT ORANGE!!

Now I am left with some frags that will hopefully survive, and this....

I just question myself and say....Why?? Why should I keep dumping money into this tank when #1 it looks like TOTAL CRAP...and #2 CRAP like this happens!!

This is ridiculous!!

ouch....all i can say is that don't rush to toss it yet...i had a validia that i thought was dead, and then my rbta walked over it to compound matters - but somehow someway it's survived...not as pretty but it made it. HOpefully that is the case with your corals....but ugh sorry to hear.

And on top of that....my skimmer wasn't working, so thank god for Brandon giving me a spare pump with impeller...impeller went bad. And now one of the electric cables on my Vortech is bad and needs to be replaced....just one thing after a freakin 'nother......UGH!!
