Controller Rec

Looking for a controller recommendation.

I'm looking to be able to control 3 sets of lights, 3 powerheads and the skimmer. I've never used one, so ease of use and customer support is priority #1.

Thanks.

If you are using tunze powerheads i'd just get a 7096 multicontroller -works fantastic for me.

otherwise i have read a lot about the aquacontrollers and the neptune controllers. Did you look at the sticky by any chance? there's some more detail though it's dated and doesn't have the latest.

Question - why would you want to control the skimmer? Like turn it off during feeding or something?

If you're looking for pretty simple control check out the ReefKeeper line. Well priced and every thing from simple on and off to complex units.

Thanks Hawkeye. Yeah, read the sticky but it just seems really dated.

I use vortech powerheads, but combining the controlling on/off of those, and wanting the ability to turn off the skimmer for 2hrs a day (just something I'm trying), has me looking for a controller.

I would go Apex all the way. I'm tired of Digital Aquatics charging so much for modules that should have come built in as most other controllers do. My main gripe is of course their NetModule which comes built in with the Apex.
