Coraline algae on glass?

Hey everyone what is your preference on having Coraline Algae on your glass?

Personally I like the look of having the Coraline algae on the back panel and the overflow boxes. But not on the side panels or the front panel. Just my preference.

Yup we carefully scrape if off the front and sides, I think covering the overflow is like a right of passage or something.

I go back and forth. Sometimes I think it looks nice on the back, other times I've scraped the back and have liked the look too. It just takes some work, so more times than not, I have it on the back.

I usually paint the back of my tanks light blue and scrape the algae off. I think it makes the tank look deeper than it really is.

On my new cube I may try a shadow box technique.

Yeah, I forgot to mention, I have a blue backing attached to my tank, so when the coraline is removed you can see it. If it was just the clear glass, I don't think I'd like it better.

I actually have a black background but I still like the coralline look. My coralline is just starting to grow so I have some time to decided to keep it black or let it take over.

Is your tank a RR? If so how do you take the calcium algae of the overflow box since their plastic?

I don't I leave t Coraline on my back glass and overflows. I use a razor once a month to clean the front pane or the coraline gets bad.
