are there any local stores that sell snails at a reasonable price? I need a CUC and normally would order from reefcleaners, but don't feel like waiting on a shipment :/

Its OK, I've got this weird algae that only attacks my zoas. It looks like hair algae covered in dinoflagellates and shows up on the zoa frag plugs. As soon as the algae touches a polyp they close up and die. What's weird is that all my snails are alive, so I'm not sure it's really dinoflagellates.

I get that same thing. I will dip the zoa frags in a mix of peroxide and sw. It gets it all off.

Yeah I've tried that with temporary sucess. The algae usually comes back after awhile and then it seems that the damage is done. Even when the algae is gone the zoas don't open anymore. I'll keep at it with the dips and see if I can get my last zoa frag to pull through.

Do you get it on all of the zoa plugs or just some? What is strange for me is that I have two frag racks. One is a straight one and then I have a small five plug corner rack. I have zoas on both. However the only ones I have issues with is the corner rack. The zoas are just plane Jane nothing fancy or high end. I have the Rastas and mauls on the other rack and have never had a problem. (Knock on wood)
