Curious mushroom

Anyone have any idea what this mushroom is doing? None of my fish are gone, so it's not eating one of them..... just curious.

He;s there, at the bottom center, the purplish looking round lump. He's usually flat, which is why I asked...

Well mushrooms are similar to nems. Looks like he isn't happy about something. Usually mine don't ball up like that. More often they shrivel up. Anything nearby that might be annoying him?

Something else could have fallen on him. Snail, sand,kenya tree branch, or something like that.

Cool, he's starting to open back up again now. I think something just annoyed him. Thanks for the input.
