Cutting acrylic

Is there anyone that could help me out, I would like to try my hand at building a sump, however I'm not sure I can cut the acrylic straight. All I would need is for someone to cut the acrylic to size so that I may glue it together. I have the sizes I need.

the easiest way i cut acrylic, is with a circular saw...no not a 10 big boy, my lil cordless one. i use a high tooth blade meant for cutting trim, and finishing edges. use a straight board as a guideclamped to the acrylic. and when u cut with the saw, just keep the guide of the saw tight to the board so u dont steer of your straight line. or, most glass cutting shops usually charge very lil for cutting peices.

im very far away, so i thought id just give ya a lil verbal help... :)

I found a tile saw works really well at cutting acrylic,if of course you have a tile saw, which I have one,and your more than welcome to come by,I live in Jackson

Where are you getting your Acrylic sheets from?

you can get a piece of wood of 3 foot level and a razor blade and cut it that way, thats how i do it and ive made numerous sumps that way, just take the razor blade and make some passes and then snap it and youll be good to go
