cutting back green palys

hey guys. i'm running out of spots on my live rock to glue my new frags too. one of my first frags (green palys) have taken over much of one of my live rocks. since there are other corals on it i cannot remove the rock with fear they make break. i wanted to know how i could remove some of these so that i can take back some of the real estate.

i would always prefer to chisel off the rock and give them away but i think the only way is to kill them off with out affecting the other corals. having that said, is there anyway to do this?

I would think you could take a scalpel and slice them right between their flesh and the rock....maybe??
