Cycling new 15gal Long

;D a few questions.

current water conditions:
using tap to cycle my LR then i'll do a 100% water change to RO

ammonia - .75ppm
nitrite - 20ppm
nitrate - .25ppm
sg: 122

probably one week left til i can start adding live stock.

questions? am i able to add my HOB fuge while waiting for my tonga live rock cures? it will probably help lower the nitrate, etc.

I would like to suggest don't be super cheap and use tap. I don't know how many nasties will actually get obsorbed but better zero then X amount. Just IMHO it is better to use RO from the start (OK I didn't the first time and I regret it to this day. :-[)

it's a pain to use RO when i buy the 5 gallon bucket refills. from a store. especially when doing a 15 gallon water change. spending that much on salt as is.

being on a budget stops your ability to do everything precise. definitely thanks for the advice and hoping for the best. i haven't seen any bad algae or anything for at the moment. it'll only be one more week before i move over to RO.

quick question. i am about to build a 10g sump for my 15g. need a bit of assistance sorry for the n00b questions.

i will be purchasing a overflowbox>which will lead down through flex pvc into sump. is a pump required or does it use gravity for the GPH specified? found one rated at 300GPH

the return pump i was thinking since mag makes the most sense with it's numeric value how much GPH it pumps. looking at mag 3 300GPH

the vert is 20-22" from pump to back to top of tank (not drilled). if there is a drop in GPH it shouldn't be much at all.

if anyone could verify or make more sense of the whole plumbing thing it would be helpful. i'll make a small picture of what i am thinking.
